President Paolo Scaroni said Milan have ‘no regrets’ regarding Gigio Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu and stressed ‘everyone is free to make the choice he believes is right’.

Donnarumma has completed the medical and can sign a deal with Paris Saint-Germain, whilst Calhanoglu has decided to join local rivals Inter.

Milan President Scaroni said the two players who are leaving on a free transfer have ‘always behaved well’ and that ‘everything is fine’.

“We hade made offers that seems to be the maximum of what we are ready to pay,” Scaroni told Radio Gr Parlamento. “If Calhanoglu finds other solutions, that’s good for him.

“He had an excellent championship and always behaved fairly. Everyone is free to make the choices he believes is right, no regrets on the part of Milan.

“We limit the cost of our players. We presented an offer, it was not enough.

“I then read that Gigio wanted to leave his comfort zone, and it seems positive for a professional like him.

“He has always behaved perfectly. It seems to me that Milan have found an excellent solution for their goalkeeper and Donnarumma will continue his professional career at another club.

“So, everything is fine.”
