Il Messaggero reports there were moments of fear at the Giallorossi’s training centre at Trigoria when a person armed with an iron bar passed the gates and destroyed some of the cars in the parking lot.

The man was wearing a Sassuolo sweatshirt and it emerged he is the father of Gianluca Scamacca, the Neroverdi striker currently on loan at Genoa.

The Italy U21 international played for the Roma youth teams between 2012 and 2015.

The newspaper reveals the man entered the sports centre and headed straight to the car park, where he destroyed the windows of four or five cars, one of them owned by sporting director Tiago Pinto.

The report adds he headed for a field where a youth squad were training and left the boys and coaches in shock.

Police arrived after a few minutes and arrested the man, who didn't have any documentation with him.

Scamacca moved from Lazio youth to Roma youth in 2012 and spent two years with PSV’s youth teams before he returned to Italy and Sassuolo.

It remains unclear why the man decided to assault the training center, but Police officers are investigating.
