Gianluca Scamacca is keen to return to Italy after a year with West Ham and is waiting for a call from Juventus, Daniele Longo reports.

The 24-year-old Italian striker left Serie A for the Premier League last summer in a deal worth around €36m, allowing him to take the next step forward in his career after an impressive spell with Sassuolo.

Things have not been easy for Scamacca this season. He has only netted three goals in 16 Premier League appearances and has been sidelined for months with a serious knee injury, limiting him to just 928 minutes of action in the league.

As detailed by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Scamacca is hoping to make a return to Italy in the summer and is keen to join Juventus, a club who’ve been interested in him in the past.

The Bianconeri may sell Dusan Vlahovic in the coming months and Arkadiusz Milik may not be retained, making the idea of picking up Scamacca an intriguing one, especially if West Ham were open to a loan deal with a buy option attached.
