Scamacca signs renewal with Sassuolo amid interest from Inter and Milan

Gianluca Scamacca has signed a contract renewal with Sassuolo, putting a dent in Inter and Milan’s work to sign him this summer.

The 23-year-old Italian striker is one of the most exciting youngsters in Serie A and he seems destined for a move to a big club soon. Many believe the Neroverdi forward is the right man to replace Ciro Immobile in the Italian national team, revitalising the squad with young talent.

As announced by Sassuolo, Scamacca has renewed his contract with the club until 2026, putting the Neroverdi in a strong negotiating position ahead of the summer transfer window.

Inter are in pole position to secure his signature in the summer and the contract renewal hasn’t changed this, although it may force them to pay more for his signature, Calciomercato.com report. Milan are also keen to pick him up but are less likely to sign him than their intercity rivals.

The 23-year-old Scamacca has scored 13 goals in 30 Serie A appearances this season.
