Scamacca out, Niang in at Genoa?

Juventus will meet with Sassuolo tomorrow to discuss Gianluca Scamacca, with Genoa targeting Mbaye Niang as a replacement.

Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia are confident Thursday will be the crunch meeting between Sassuolo and Juve to see if Scamacca will be available.

It’s widely believed the Neroverdi will only let the striker go on loan if there is an obligation to buy.

Juve would prefer to negotiate a loan with option to buy, so this meeting should be decisive either way.

Scamacca is currently on loan at Genoa, so the Grifone would need to find a replacement if he did move on in January.

Sky and Sportitalia both point to the same man, former Milan and Torino striker Niang, who is now back in France with Stade Rennais.

It would be a return to Marassi for Niang, who already scored five goals here in 14 games when on loan from Milan in 2012.

The first choice had been Sam Lammers, but Atalanta do not seem eager to let him leave, even on loan.
