Italy international Emerson Palmieri has become the first player to win all five modern UEFA competitions and celebrated West Ham’s win over Fiorentina, like his compatriot Gianluca Scamacca.
The Hammers beat Fiorentina in the Conference League Final on Wednesday night and their victory means Emerson has now won all UEFA competitions. He had already lifted the Champions League, Europa League and UEFA Supercup with Chelsea and the European championship with Italy.
The Italy international celebrated his achievement on Instagram with a post and several Instagram stories, including one with former Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta. The Brazilian delivered the assist for Jarrod Bowen’s late winner and Emerson told him ‘I love you’ on Instagram.
Scamacca also celebrated West Ham’s win, although the Italian striker was not available for the game with Fiorentina due to a knee injury.
He still inspired West Ham’s European campaign, scoring three goals in the opening seven Conference League games this term.
