Sky Sport Italia claim Sassuolo have decided to recall Gianluca Scamacca from Genoa, but they will keep him rather than loan to Juventus or Parma.
The striker is currently half-way through a loan spell at Genoa, but his form there attracted plenty of interest from much bigger clubs.
Juve had made a proposal to take him on loan with option to buy, but it seems the negotiations with Sassuolo were not successful.
Instead, Sky Sport Italia claim this evening that the Neroverdi are prepared to keep Scamacca at the Mapei Stadium for the rest of the season.
