Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali gave updates on the Giacomo Raspadori move to Napoli, Andrea Pinamonti from Inter and keeping Domenico Berardi. ‘We haven’t reached an agreement with the player.’

The Neroverdi are at the centre of a transfer merry-go-round at the moment, as Raspadori has made it clear he is desperate to join Napoli ahead of Juventus.

The two clubs are working on a fee, which in the end should be at €30 plus bonuses and add-ons.

“There is no news right now, we still need to speak to Napoli,” Carnevali told Sky Sport Italia this afternoon.

Once Raspadori has been sold, Sassuolo have lined up Pinamonti as his replacement from Inter.

That is expected to be a deal worth €20m plus €1m in bonuses, with the player signing a four-year contract plus option for a fifth.

According to Sportitalia, this could well include a release clause, which is holding up the negotiations.

“We are talking, but not just to Inter. We haven’t reached an agreement with the player yet,” added Carnevali.

Centre-forward Pinamonti is just coming off a loan spell at Empoli and has also been linked with Atalanta, while he rejected Monza and Salernitana to aim for a more ambitious club.

Meanwhile, having already sold Giacomo Raspadori to West Ham United, Sassuolo are trying to lock down captain Berardi to a new contract.

“We are discussing the possibility of extending his contract, we always said that Berardi is the most important player that Sassuolo have.”

  1. Every striker/winger in the world would prefer Napoli over Juve. Cause they have to defend like a sweeper in Juve and barely get any chance of attack.

  2. Leave allegri alone he has won the league over 4 times with the same tactics.

  3. With the same but with prime Pogba, Vidal , Pirlo , Lichtsteiner, Bonnuci , Chielini , Buffon , Cuadrado , Dybala , Barzagli And of course while Inter , Roma and Milan were having their weakest teams and conditions of the last 100 years
