Sassuolo will reportedly exercise their €6m option to buy Las Palmas defender Mauricio Lemos.
According to Calciomercato.it, new Sassuolo boss Roberto De Zerbi has given his approval to keeping Lemos, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Mapei Stadium.
Despite being benched for the first part of his stint, the Uruguayan went on to make eight Serie A appearances for the Neroverdi as they comfortably avoided relegation.
His parent club Las Palmas, on the other hand, dropped into Spain’s second tier.
