Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali has set the price-tag for Italy international Davide Frattesi in line with Gianluca Scamacca’s sale, alerting Roma, Juventus, Milan, Inter and Arsenal.

The midfielder has been linked with numerous clubs and had already been on the verge of a return to his hometown team Roma last summer before negotiations faltered.

It had been over €30m a few months ago, but his performances in Serie A this season have further pushed up the price-tag.

“Our desire was to keep him and we have not spoken to Juventus about him,” assured Carnevali on Rai GR Parlamento radio.

“We made the request at €40m for Frattesi because that is the price we sold Scamacca for in the Premier League.”

A bidding war included Juve, Milan and Paris Saint-Germain for Scamacca, but the centre-forward eventually joined West Ham United last summer for €36m plus another €6m in performance-related bonuses.

Sassuolo are also due a percentage of the sell-on fee.

However, when it comes to some of the other talents at the Mapei Stadium, Carnevali has no intention of budging.

“Armand Laurienté needs more time, we made an important investment on him and he will remain with us next season. As for Domenico Berardi, he is always missed when out injured and we have always wanted to keep him, as he is our club symbol, but naturally we will listen to what he has to say.”

Berardi only recently signed a new contract to June 2027 and has spent his entire career with the Neroverdi, but every transfer window there is fresh speculation around the 28-year-old attacking winger.
