Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnevali confirms Fiorentina target Pol Lirola “wants to leave, but we need the right financial conditions.”
The full-back is a former Juventus youth team product who turns 22 next month and has been pin-pointed as the ideal reinforcement for Vincenzo Montella’s side.
“We have currently not had the chance to talk to Pol Lirola, because the player is still on vacation,” Sassuolo general manager Giovanni Carnevali told La Gazzetta di Modena.

“We have currently not had the chance to talk to Pol Lirola, because the player is still on vacation,” Sassuolo general manager Giovanni Carnevali told La Gazzetta di Modena.
“I heard from many sources that he wants to leave, so much that he has already terminated the rent on his apartment in the city. If a player does not have the right motivation, then he’s not needed at Sassuolo.
“However, at the same time, we need to sell at the right conditions and those are our conditions. We won’t give players away, Sassuolo is an expensive club to buy from.
“Khouma Babacar will also probably leave, while so far there have only been timid shows of interest for Kevin-Prince Boateng. I’ll meet with the Coach in pre-season training this week and discuss what his intentions are.”
