Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali says Leonardo Pavoletti is “ideal” for them, but Napoli must lower their asking price.
The striker joined the Partenopei in January, but injury problems and the form of Dries Mertens meant he didn’t make a single appearance.
It has been suggested that he could move to the Neroverdi before Thursday night’s transfer deadline, and the Emilian side would certainly like to sign him.
“Pavoletti is the ideal profile for what Sassuolo need,” Carnevali told Gazzetta di Modena.

“At the moment though Napoli only want to sell him permanently at figures which are prohibitive to us, let’s see if it’s possible to find a solution.
“Alessandro Matri, Federico Peluso and Pietro Iemmello? If we can find solutions then they’re fine to leave Sassuolo, otherwise they’re valid players who will stay with us.”
