Serie A club Sassuolo are in mourning after the death of their vice-president Sergio Sassi, aged 64.
The news was confirmed in a statement by Sassuolo this morning.
It is the latest terrible loss for the Emilia Romagna club after owner Giorgio Squinzi died in October 2019, followed by his wife Adriana just over a month later.
Sassuolo will wear black armbands when playing against Sampdoria this evening.
Sassi ran the Emilceramica company, specialising in exporting ceramics around the world.
