Sassuolo were beaten 2-1 by PSV Eindhoven during their Spanish warm weather training camp, as Davide Frattesi’s goal was not enough.

The Neroverdi had beaten Olympique Marseille last week and were hoping to build some momentum during the break for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

They had taken the lead this afternoon against PSV Eindhoven thanks to a header from midfielder Frattesi.

However, late on PSV turned it around with Anwar El Ghazi and Johan Bakayoko.

It was an unusual game, played in four 30-minute spells and with numerous substitutions.
