Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali says Giacomo Raspadori would be ideal for Juventus, while Milan should think about Domenico Berardi and Premier League clubs want Gianluca Scamacca and Hamed Traore.

The Neroverdi have some of the most exciting young footballers in Serie A. Scamacca, Davide Frattesi, Traore and Raspadori are only some of the players linked with a move to a big club in the summer. Domenico Berardi is arguably their brightest star, having already reached double figures for goals and assists in Serie A.

Clearly, Sassuolo won’t sell them all in the summer, but who is expected to leave? Growing reports suggest Raspadori could move to Juventus to replace Paulo Dybala. Is the Old Lady interested in signing the Italian starlet?

“Juventus asked for Raspadori at the end of the 2021 summer transfer window, but there was no time to negotiate, so they signed Moise Kean,” Carnevali told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I haven’t spoken to them recently, but I’ve heard rumours of their interest. If they call, we’ll be ready. I’ll say more: I am waiting for Juventus with open arms. I am on good terms with the club and the directors. But If they want Raspadori, they must spend.

“I wouldn’t sell anyone and Sassuolo have the economic strength to keep everyone. Our patron Giorgio Squinzi gave us guidelines that we’ve always followed. We have invested in young players balancing sporting and financial results. But when our players receive bigger offers it’s difficult to keep hold of them.

“Giacomo is ideal for Juventus. He is ideal for playing behind a centre forward. He is good with both feet and is excellent in tight spaces.”

How much would he cost?

“The minimum price for our best players is €30m and then we evaluate. Sassuolo have a clear strategy, we sell one player when we have a replacement up to the task. Maxime Lopez is the player with the most requests, from Italy and abroad. Like everyone else, he will be sold when we have a valuable replacement.”

How about Berardi? He seemed close to Fiorentina last summer…

“Berardi is our champion, Squinzi wanted him to become a Bandiera of Sassuolo,” said Carnevali.

“He wanted to leave for the first time one year ago, but Fiorentina’s offer couldn’t even be considered. Berardi would be perfect for Milan. If I were the director of a top club in Serie A, he’d be the first player I’d sign.”

Scamacca is seen as the future striker of Italy and both Inter and Milan want to sign him.

“Inter have already informed us about their interest, but keep an eye abroad. Gianluca has received many offers from the Premier League,” Carnevali admitted.

“He still needs to improve and perhaps he needs to stay another year here.

“Frattesi is doing a nice path, we signed him many years ago and it took some time, but now you can see how he plays. Alessio Dionisi has given the right motivations to Traoré, Napoli and Premier League clubs want him. He has great qualities.”

  1. These words of his should be treated with a hint of caution, Beradi is not worth 30million, at the maximum, with his contract situation, he should not be more than 15million, Raspadori on the other hand should be picked at the most for 20million, then Scamacca should not exceed 25 million, out of the 3, Scamacca and Raspadori are the gems of the lot.

  2. When will these players learn that juventus is a blackhole its swallows up any Italian talent like bernadeschi locatelli rugani etc these players get ahead of themselves it all about $$$$$.
