Sassuolo left-back Rogerio has reportedly accepted an offer to move to the Bundesliga to join Wolfsburg for €6m plus bonuses, ending a six-year stay with the Neroverdi.

Rogerio joined Sassuolo’s youth side in 2016, before spending a year with Juventus Primavera in 2017. From there, he was loaned back to Sassuolo for two consecutive seasons, before joining permanently again during the 2018-19 season.

According to Calciomercato.com, the Brazilian defender has agreed a deal with the German side, which could have a knock-on effect for both Milan and Inter

Milan are said to have been evaluating Rogerio as a back-up option for Theo Hernandez at left-back in the event that they were unable to land either of their other targets Riccardo Calafiori or Luca Pellegrini.

Meanwhile, Inter are affected as Wolfsburg had also been linked with a move to bring Robin Gosens back to Germany.

With Rogerio’s arrival, Inter will keep hold of Gosens for the time being. Union Berlin had also previously had reported interest in the German, but that deal is no longer on the cards.
