Napoli made Sassuolo a baffling offer for talented forward Hamed Junior Traore recently but it was quickly turned down.
The 22-year-old Ivorian is one of the most exciting players in the Neroverdi squad and he seems destined for a move to a top club in the upcoming summer transfer window, with a number of Italian teams linked with a move for him.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Napoli offered Sassuolo €15m for Traore a few months ago but it was quickly rejected. This is hardly a surprise, considering that they paid Empoli €16m for him last July.
It’s a sign that Traore will not be a cheap option in the upcoming summer transfer window, especially considering that his market value currently sits at around €20m.
The 22-year-old Traore has made 24 Serie A appearances so far this season, for a total of 1351 minutes. In that time, he’s scored four goals and provided four assists, being an electric attacking figure.

20m plus Ounas might do it.
He’d be a good replacement for Insigne.
