Sassuolo are said to be interested in Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin who is waiting to join Barcelona.

With Mert Muldur out for more than three months due to an ankle fracture, the Neroverdi have identified the Arsenal defender as the perfect reinforcement for the right flank, reports Sky Sport Italia.

Sassuolo have begun talks with Arsenal, but Barcelona are still leading the race to sign the Spaniard who wants to move to the Nou Camp.

However, due to the La Liga giants’ financial issues, Barcelona may be unable to get the ex-Betis loanee who has returned to London after the end of last season’s lost spell in Sevilla.

Bellerin is not on Arsenal’s plans so he is expected to leave in the last two days of the summer transfer window.

Earlier this summer, Udinese had also been linked with signing the 27-year-old who has scored eight goals in 183 appearances in the Premier League.
