Catania defender Nicolas Spolli says the importance of his side’s game against relegation rivals Sassuolo on Sunday cannot be underestimated.
The two teams occupy Serie A’s bottom two places and the loser of the match will risk being cut adrift in the fight for survival.
“I think it is an absolutely crucial match in the season,” Spolli told La Repubblica.
“Let’s hope it can be a turning point for us.

“I think it is an absolutely crucial match in the season,” Spolli told La Repubblica.
“Let’s hope it can be a turning point for us.
“I have faith in this team, if we have to win away from home then this is the ideal time to do it.
“Every one of us has to throw everything into it as it is Catania’s most important match of the season.
“We are in a difficult period and it is too easy to say bad things about this club and this team.
“We need to rediscover the spirit we had in the matches with Lazio and Livorno, giving more than what we are doing now.
“We want to turn the corner.”
