According to Goal.com, Sassuolo and Bologna are currently battling to sign the player, with both clubs knocking on Roma's door, ready to present a new offer.

The player would leave the club on a loan with an option to purchase him back, giving the Lupi some control over the player should his value bounce back up.

But Calciomercato.it suggests Genoa are currently in pole for the player, as a straight loan would give Roma some leverage towards the promising 18-year-old Rolando Mandragora.

The midfielder is owned by Genoa but currently on a loan at Pescara.
