Sassuolo patron Giorgio Squinzi insists Domenico Berardi will go to “whoever pays more,” as there is no Juventus deal.

It has been said for well over a year that Juve have a €25m option to buy the Italy Under-21 talent this summer.

However, it seems to be more of a gentleman’s agreement and a not very solid one at that.

“There is nothing definite with Juventus,” Squinzi told the Sole 24 Ore newspaper.

“Are they the favourites? The favourites are whoever pays more.”
