Director Giovanni Carnevali reiterates Sassuolo are ‘an ambitious club’ and won’t sell Manuel Locatelli, Domenico Berardi, Jeremie Boga or Giacomo Raspadori ‘unless there is a suitable offer.’

The Neroverdi have several big stars making a splash on the transfer market this summer, especially Locatelli, who is targeted by Juventus and Arsenal.

Sassuolo had their pre-season presentation event this evening and director Carnevali spoke onstage about the on-going reports.

“It’s not just Locatelli, but many lads in our team like Berardi, Boga and Raspadori who are liked by many clubs. It’s flattering, as it means we have strong players.

“Our philosophy will not change, we must continue to build a team that can achieve good results and also keep an eye on the balance sheets.

“Many of our players have offers, but Sassuolo are an ambitious club and won’t sell unless there is a suitable offer. Otherwise, they can remain and continue their growth process with us.”

Juventus were warned earlier today by Carnevali that Sassuolo will lock down their transfer market in early August, setting a deadline to improve their offer or give up on the Italy international.

Juve have bid only a two-season loan with option to buy for a total €30m, well below the €45m asking price and Arsenal’s €40m plus bonuses.

Locatelli has made it clear he will only leave Sassuolo for the Bianconeri, at least this summer.

Meanwhile, Berardi has attracted interest from Milan and clubs abroad, while Atalanta want Boga and Raspadori is targeted by Inter.
