Juventus are waiting, as any residual hopes of Pep Guardiola leaving Manchester City were eliminated today with his interview promising to repay them for their faith in him during the difficult first season.

Sarri’s representatives met with Juventus director Fabio Paratici in Milan today, including intermediary Fali Ramadani.

It’s likely Sarri will sign the Juve contract at the start of next week, so Monday or Tuesday, and it seems as if Chelsea won't demand the €5-6m compensation.

There could be a meeting over the weekend away from prying eyes, perhaps in Montecarlo, to discuss transfer strategy and sort out the final details.
