The day after Maurizio Sarri’s resignation as Lazio coach, all his staff members, except Giovanni Martusciello have also left the club, while Igor Tudor is expected to meet Claudio Lotito in the coming hours.
Lazio confirmed Sarri’s resignation on Wednesday, announcing that his assistant Martusciello would remain in charge at the Stadio Olimpico.
With a second statement on Thursday evening, Lazio announced the departures of Sarri’s staff members, except Martusciello who will lead the team in the next Serie A game against Frosinone on Saturday.
It remains to be seen how long Martusciello will stay at the club, given that a fresh report from Matteo Moretto says ex-Hellas Verona coach Igor Tudor is expected in Rome in the coming hours to hold talks with club president Lotito.
According to the report, Lazio are expected to offer the ex-Croatia international a contract until the end of the season with an option to extend until 2025.
