The Partenopei are starting to show signs of a Sarri team, specifically with a stronger defence than fans are accustomed to.

“I am satisfied with the way we played and the overall performance,” said Sarri.

“We were up against a top level opponent and did very well. We suffered in a few circumstances, but that’s to be expected considering Porto’s quality.

“We also had chances to win, above all in the second half, so this is why I am satisfied.”

It was the full debut for new defenders Vlad Chiriches and Elseid Hysaj, who impressed in a more solid back four.
