Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri has reportedly asked for an improved salary and no clauses in his new contract.

The former Empoli boss arrived at the Partenopei last summer but only signed a one-year deal and therefore needs to sign an extension to remain in Naples.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis told reporters yesterday they were ‘wasting their time’ by suggesting Sarri could leave the Vesuviani at the end of the season.

An appointment has reportedly been booked for the end of the season to define the agreement, while the paper adds that Sarri will earn a €700,000 bonus for Champions League qualification this season.
