Lazio have reportedly put Manuel Lazzari on the market, feeling he does not fit Maurizio Sarri’s tactical system, so Inter are ready to step in.

The former SPAL wing-back has always shone in a 3-5-2 formation and was perfectly suited to Simone Inzaghi’s approach.

However, Sarri aims to play a 4-3-3 and Lazzari would need to adapt to the role of right-back, just as Juan Cuadrado did at Juventus.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Calciomercato.com, Sarri does not believe Lazzari will be able to change his playing style to that degree.

The Italy international is therefore on the market and it’s safe to say Lazio will make a bid, as Inzaghi would love to be reunited with Lazzari at San Siro.

Lazio paid €13.75m to sign him from SPAL in 2019 and the 27-year-old would cost at least €20m.

He scored two goals and provided six assists in 32 Serie A appearances this season.
