Panathinaikos have reportedly presented a lucrative offer to Maurizio Sarri as they look to tempt the tactician to the Super League Greece.

The 65-year-old Italian coach is currently unattached after resigning from his position with Lazio back in March, having grown frustrated with the project in the Italian capital. He averaged 1.64 points per match across 137 games in Rome, winning 65 and drawing 30.

Sarri has been linked with a whole host of clubs since leaving Lazio back in March, with reports floating him as an option for Milan, Fiorentina, Torino, Spartak Moscow, Bologna, Olympique Marseille and more. As of yet, he still hasn’t chosen his next destination.

Panathinaikos offer to Sarri

As reported by Manuele Baiocchini of Sky Sports Italia, Panathinaikos have sent Sarri a lucrative offer as they look to tempt him to take over in Athens. The Greens finished fourth in the league but secured the Greek Cup trophy.

The Italian tactician is now considering the offer, taking his time before deciding whether or not to try out a new adventure in Greece.
