Maurizio Sarri’s agent claims the Napoli Coach did not ask the club to sign anyone in January.
Napoli failed to sign a winger last month, despite the likes of Amin Younes, Matteo Politano [pictured, left] and Simone Verdi being linked with the Partenopei.
However, Alessandro Pellegrini made it clear Sarri only requested reinforcements for ‘positions’ in need of strengthening or ‘characteristics’ he felt the team were lacking.

“What's new? Twitter asks if you want to write something… I’ll tell you: nothing!” he tweeted.
“It’s been two-and-a-half years that I’ve said Sarri doesn’t ask for certain players but rather positions [to be strengthened] and [players with certain] characteristics!
“Whoever says otherwise is wrong.”
