Empoli Coach Maurizio Sarri said Milan “panicked” after the equaliser and relished their reputation as giant-killers.
The Tuscans are newly-promoted from Serie B and won just one of the last 11 rounds, but still play excellent football and dominated possession at San Siro.
“We have experienced strikers, but also two youngsters and a limited budget,” said Sarri in his Press conference after a 1-1 draw.

“We might not have a guaranteed hitman who can score 15 goals per season, but we have quality all over the pitch and to get a result we need to enjoy our football.
“This team goes out there to have fun and when we manage to get points in Rome, Milan, Naples and Florence, it boosts our confidence even more.
“It’s difficult for any opponent to dominate possession against us and even Juventus struggled. However, we are vulnerable in other ways.
“Milan looked worried from the start today and after the equaliser they panicked, because they knew that they could lose the game. It was a normal reaction considering the pressure they were under. I advise Milan to find the fun again.
“We did get the sensation after equalising that we could go on to win. If we’d been against 10 men for a little longer, we probably would’ve got all three points.”
