Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri joked he would speak to club president Claudio Lotito about the possibility of signing Paulo Dybala.

The Argentina forward played his last home match for Juve in Monday’s 2-2 draw with Sarri’s Lazio and was visibly emotional as he left the field amid adulation from the supporters.

Dybala was named Serie A MVP during his season under Sarri at Juve in 2019-20 and the pair embraced as the ex-Palermo man left the pitch.

The 28-year-old has not yet made public where his next destination will be and, asked whether Dybala could join him at Lazio, Sarri told reporters: “Let’s see if Lotito will get him for us.”

Monday’s clash with Lazio was also Giorgio Chiellini’s final home match with Juve after 17 seasons in Turin and Sarri said he also met with his former captain after the match.

“I didn’t embrace Giorgio because he left the pitch on the other side while Dybala was right in front of me,” Sarri said. “I embraced them both afterwards.

“It’s odd being here tonight. [There was] a great atmosphere for them which was difficult for us. There is nothing more to say [about them], the numbers speak for themselves.”

Chiellini has not yet revealed where he will move to but suggested after the draw with Lazio he is likely to leave Europe.

Meanwhile, Sarri also said Sergej Milinkovic-Savic would only move to a club outside of Italy if he left Lazio.
