Maurizio Sarri claims he would take a pay cut if the ‘very strange’ Premier League scheduled fixtures better, with Chelsea forced to play twice in four days.
Sarri regularly criticised Serie A during his Napoli tenure for not giving them more time to prepare for European matches.
His latest complaints come after Chelsea were scheduled to face West Ham United on Monday, before their Europa League trip to Slavia Prague 72 hours later.

Sarri regularly criticised Serie A during his Napoli tenure for not giving them more time to prepare for European matches.
His latest complaints come after Chelsea were scheduled to face West Ham United on Monday, before their Europa League trip to Slavia Prague 72 hours later.
“I don’t understand why we have to play on a Monday, it’s very strange, I think they could have done more for English teams in Europe,” he said at a Press conference.
“Of course [I’d take a pay cut] because the salary is not so important to me. For me, it is important to have fun. To work without working, because for me, it is not work.
“In Serie A teams play on a Friday. Teams involved in the Europa League if they play away from home can ask to play their following League game on a Monday, but this is the situation.”
However, the 60-year-old conceded TV revenues were more important to his club than any benefits of an easier calendar.
“For the players, no, because the Premier League is the best League in the world. So, we need to have very strong players,” he affirmed.
“We can buy the best players in the world, have the best championship in the world, and so we have to accept that we have to play every three days.”
