Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri admits he ‘doesn’t know much’ about Vlad Chiriches, but trusts the club.
The defender is on the verge of joining the Partenopei, arriving in Italy last night to seal his transfer from Tottenham Hotspur.
“I don’t know much about him,” Sarri admitted in a Press conference.
“I saw him for half of a match, and he seemed to have discrete physical qualities, but I don’t have a clear impression.
“But if they [the club] chose him…”

The tactician also moved to deny reports he had requested specific players, and revealed the attitude he wants from his side.
“What I read is not entirely true, I haven’t named names, I’ve only indicated characteristics. We have to grow as a team.
“The team needs to grow in personality and in mentality, and I’ve said that to them. Coming from a provincial team, I saw so many teams enter the field with a presumptuous attitude against Empoli.
“There was only one that came with a different attitude: Juventus. So we can’t only talk about technical and tactical things, but also mentality.
“Juventus were screaming in the tunnel to fire themselves up before going out, and that translates into points.”
