“Inter have had a great campaign so far, they are solid, physical, but also tactically smart. I don’t know what attitude they’ll take, but I don’t believe they will clam up,” said Sarri in his Press conference.

“It is a wonderful occasion and I don’t feel pressure. It’s better to be in the running for such big games.

“We will pay attention to the result, but to be honest what matters more right now is our performance.

“Inter have different characteristics to us, but I wouldn’t say they play ‘ugly’ football. They are very efficient and difficult to beat, so will be protagonists to the end. They are stronger than us physically, while Napoli are better in terms of passing.

“Will Inter man-mark Jorginho? We are ready for any approach our opponents take.

“We will never change our attitude or our football. Whatever the result, we’ll resume training on Tuesday the same way we left off.”

There were some controversial, albeit jokey, comments from Inter midfielder Felipe Melo on Thursday suggesting Gonzalo Higuain should be “beaten up” on the field.

“On Thursday there were three Italians playing in the Europa League and on the front page I found Melo,” shrugged Sarri.

“I didn’t like it and found it to be off-key. I do believe it was just a joke, but I prefer to focus on football.”

Sarri confirmed Manolo Gabbiadini and Dries Mertens are on the road to recovery, but won’t feature tomorrow.
