Maurizio Sarri admits Luis Alberto isn’t fully fit so the Spanish midfielder ‘can give more’ to the Bianconcelesti in the second half when there will be less intensity.
The Spanish tactician was surprisingly dropped for Sunday’s Serie A game against Inter at the Stadio Olimpico. Nicolò Rovella, Daichi Kamada and Matteo Guendouzi start as central midfielders for the Biancocelesti.
“Everyone has gone on the bench; Luis has had some issues lately; he is not fully fit, so right now, he could give us more by starting on the bench when there will be less intensity,” Sarri told DAZN before kick-off.
Mario Gila starts as a centre-back alongside Nicolò Casale, while Patric is on the bench and Alessio Romagnoli is still out of action.
“Patric has just returned. He’s had a bad flu, so it’s fair to make Gila continue,” Sarri concluded.
