Santos coach Fernando Diniz admits Juventus and Milan target Kaio Jorge ‘wants to leave,’ but not as a free agent.

Juventus are in pole position to secure the services of the 19-year-old striker who sees his contract expire in December 2021.

The Bianconeri have already reached a preliminary agreement with the Brazilian starlet, informing Santos about their negotiations with the striker.

Kaio Jorge didn’t play in Santos’ 4-0 win over Juazeirense last night and the coach of the Brazilian club admitted after the game that the Brazilian starlet wants to leave.

Juventus offer Santos under 2m for Kaio Jorge

“I’ve spoken to Kaio and I’ve understood that he wants to leave,” Diniz said.

“However, he wants to find a way to pay back Santos in some way, so he wants to leave remaining on good terms with the club. He will play if he stays because he is an important player for us and it’s difficult to replace him.

“I don’t like to talk about transfers, but I’d like him to stay, at least until December,” the coach concluded.

Juventus have jumped to the front of the queue for the signing of the 19-year-old.

According to reports in Brazil, the striker could move to Juventus in the current transfer window by paying €6m, equally split between the club and the player’s agents, but Santos are in talks to earn more from the striker’s sale.
