Mario Alberto Santana has agreed “a three-year contract with Napoli,” confirmed the Fiorentina man's agent.

The midfielder was free to choose his next club, as the Viola did not renew the contract that expires this month.

“We have agreed a deal with Napoli for a three-year contract,” agent Marco Piccioli told Goal.com.

“Before making it all official, the club needs to sell Jose Sosa.”

Santana will get the opportunity to play in the Champions League at the San Paolo next season.

Meanwhile, Fiorentina have also lost defender Michele Camporese to a long injury lay-off.

The youth product underwent surgery today to reconstruct part of his shoulder and will be out of action for at least three to four months.
