Chievo Verona boss Giuseppe Sannino thinks Alberto Paloschi has the potential to play for an Italian giant.

The 23-year-old, co-owned with Milan, left his mark on the top flight at the weekend with a brace in the loss to Napoli.

“We talk about him as an old player, but he’s a young old player,” the tactician told Tele Radio Stereo. “By working hard with us he can dream of a big club where he wouldn’t look out of place.

“He’s meticulous, a great professional who works very hard for the team and who can still improve his game.

“By working so hard for his teammates he is not always cool in front of goal, but I think you can see a little champion in him.”

The former Italian Under-21 international scored goals for Milan in 2007-08 before moving on to Parma and then Genoa.

His career has been halted by injuries. He scored seven goals in 20 League games for the Flying Donkeys last term.
