Giuseppe Sannino calls on his Carpi players to “move up” from the bottom of the Serie A table against Torino.

The former Watford Coach will take charge of the Biancorossi for the first time tomorrow against the high-flying Granata, having replaced Fabrizio Castori this week.

“We’re bottom of the table, and we want to move up,” Sannino said in his pre-match Press conference.

“Everyone should have a single purpose, sacrificing themselves and leaving aside what has happened up to now to start a new adventure, a new campaign.

“We’re facing a team which is second in the League, but despite all the difficulties we have the desire to reverse this current trend.

“I’m not a Toro fan, but I have an affection for them because of what they represent in the history of Italian football, as well as for the halo which they’ve worn since the Grande Torino.

“[Giampiero] Ventura’s team are not just workers, they also have quality. The players have improved a lot, and they deserve to be second in the table.

“I’m just worried about Carpi, and playing our game. Just as Torino want to be top of the table after the game, we also want to not be last after the match.

“We have great respect, we know who we’re playing, but what’s even more important is knowing how we want to play.”
