The former Tottenham Hotspur, QPR and West Bromwich Albion star made a surprise move to bottom of the table Benevento in January.
He is on loan from Turkish side Antalyaspor with an option to buy, which would be obligatory with Serie A survival.
“It is an important season. He arrived in Serie A with strong motivation and was unfortunate in Turkey,” agent George Gardi told Tuttomercatoweb.
“He is improving game by game and soon we’ll see him in top shape. He found the ideal environment at Benevento and the captain’s armband put more responsibility on him.
“Benevento have an option to buy and Sandro would be happy to remain regardless of what division they are in. He and his family are very happy in Benevento.
“The option was agreed at a difficult time for both clubs, so I don’t think it reflects the current market valuation of the player."
There have been reports of Inter making a proposal to take Sandro over the summer.
“It’s true we have already received formal offers from foreign clubs and it’s true that several big teams like him in Italy. His priority is to remain in Italian football, hopefully with Benevento in Serie A.”
