Alexis Sanchez bid farewell to Inter after terminating his contract with the club, thanking the team and wishing them luck.

The 33-year-old Chilean forward agreed to end his time with the Nerazzurri a year early and today the documents were signed that officially closed this chapter of his career. Sanchez is now a free agent and media reports suggest that a move to Olympique Marseille is imminent.

Writing on his Instagram story, Sanchez reflected on his time with Inter and thanked the club and their fans.

“Here I leave three trophies after 11 years. Thank you and good luck, see you soon.”

Sanchez joined Inter in September 2020 on a free transfer after leaving Manchester United. He made 108 appearances across all competitions for the club, scoring 20 goals and providing 23 assists.

He won a Coppa Italia, a Scudetto and a Supercoppa Italiana with the Nerazzurri, scoring the winner against Juventus in the Supercoppa earlier this year.

Sanchez’s 11 years refers to his four-year spell tied to Udinese from 2007 to 2011. He scored 21 goals in 112 games for the club before moving to Barcelona.
