Udinese have played down speculation that Alexis Sanchez is set for a January move away from the club.

The Chilean youngster is believed to be a target for a number of top outfits across Europe after impressing for his country at the World Cup.

Stories in recent weeks have suggested that a transfer as soon as January was on the cards, with the likes of Manchester United associated.

Stories in recent weeks have suggested that a transfer as soon as January was on the cards, with the likes of Manchester United associated.

However, Udinese sporting director Fabrizio Larini has rubbished such talk at this stage of the campaign.

"All these rumours are due to the actions of agents, who are preparing themselves for the winter window," he told TMW.

"Historically, Udinese are a club who sell players when an offer that is too good to refuse is made.

"However, it is premature to discuss such matters and, anyway, I think this is projected more towards the summer window rather than January."

Sanchez, born in December 1988, has scored one Serie A goal in nine appearances so far this season.
