Stories emerged over the weekend that the teenager’s switch to the Giallorossi may have hit a snag.

However, respected Sky journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has confirmed that the Paraguayan goalscorer is in a hotel in Rome ready to meet with director Walter Sabatini.

The transfer is likely to be completed within the next few days, with Rudi Garcia’s men paying Sanabria’s release clause, thought to be around €5m.

The forward is thought to have opted for the Stadio Olimpico outfit over Premier League side Arsenal.
