UEFA will reportedly confirm today that Milan’s Giuseppe Meazza Stadium will host the 2016 Champions League Final.

San Siro, as it is better known, has been reported as the competition’s venue for the 2016 Final for a number of months, but delays in the administration process and necessary work to the ground have been seen as having held up an official announcement.

However, the Gazzetta dello Sport report that the ground, shared between Milan and Inter, will be confirmed as the host during the course of today.

Should San Siro receive the award, it will be the fourth time that it will have hosted the tournament’s Final, after the 1965, 1970 and 2001 editions, and it will be the ninth time overall that an Italian ground will have hosted the Final.
