Only around 38,000 tickets have been sold for the upcoming Nations League clash between Italy and England.

The match between the Euro 2020 finalists is important for both teams as they hope to avoid suffering relegation from League A Group 3. The Azzurri sit third in the group with five points, one below Germany, two below Hungary and three above the Three Lions.

As highlighted by TMW, only 38,000 tickets have currently been sold for the game between Italy and England, although this number is expected to rise a little as the match approaches. Regardless, the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza will not be full for the game, possibly reflecting the concerns regarding the Azzurri following their World Cup qualification failure.

Many fans have also expressed frustration at Roberto Mancini’s call-ups. The Italy coach mostly stuck to old favourites, although injuries have pushed him to call some younger options like Davide Frattesi and Sebastiano Esposito.

The hope is that around 50,000 tickets will be sold in total and an updated number is expected tomorrow.
