According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Barcelona and Tottenham scouted Mikkel Sampdoria‘s Mikkel Damsgaard who is valued  at €30m.

The Denmark international scored the opener in his side’s 4-1 win over Russia on Monday.

The 20-year-old had joined Sampdoria from Nordsjaelland in a €6.5m deal in 2020 and scored two goals in 35 appearances in his first season in Serie A.

La Gazzetta dello Sport paper reports Barcelona scouts watched the player in action during the Euros last week, but Tottenham are also interested in securing the services of the attacking midfielder.

However, both clubs must deal with Sampdoria’s economic demands, which have increased after Damsgaard’s performances at the Euros.

According to the report, his price tag has increased from €20m to €30m, and the Serie A side have not yet received an offer for the 20-year-old.

The Blucerchiati would want to keep hold of their starlet for one more season and discuss his sale in one year.
