Sampdoria have reportedly agreed terms for the return of Filip Djuricic after his Sassuolo spell, while they have also approached Hertha Berlin midfielder Lucas Tousart.
Djuric is a free agent after his contract with Sassuolo ran down and the 30-year-old is on the verge of returning to one of his former clubs.
He had already been on the Sampdoria books from the summer of 2016 to January 2018, before a loan at Benevento.
The 30-year-old Serbia international left Samp as a free agent in 2018 for Sassuolo and is now making the reverse journey.
Djuric scored two goals in 12 Serie A appearances last season, a campaign dominated by muscular injuries.
Sky Sport Italia also report that Sampdoria are in talks with Hertha Berlin for 25-year-old French midfielder Tousart.
He also played for Olympique Lyonnais before the €25m move to Hertha Berlin in 2020.
It comes after suggestions the Blucerchiati had agreed a deal with Roma for midfielder Gonzalo Villar.
