Atletico Madrid prospect Marcos Paulo has decided to move to Italy and two clubs in particular are leading the race for his signature.

The 21-year-old Brazilian forward is considered to be one of the most exciting young talents in Europe following a strong three-year spell with Fluminense, where he scored 11 goals and provided 10 assists in 66 appearances. Atletico picked him up on a free transfer in July 2021 and shipped him out on loan to Famalicao, where he made 15 appearances.

As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Sampdoria and Bologna are both incredibly interested in picking up Marcos Paulo this summer, keen to see if he can live up to his potential. The Atletico Madrid talent has a number of offers already but he’s only keen on the move to Serie A.

In the past, Piero Ausilio was keen for Inter to sign the Brazilian forward, which shows the belief in his potential.
