Sampdoria have reportedly made contact with Atalanta over former Swansea striker Alberto Paloschi.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Samp President Massimo Ferrero is currently negotiating with La Dea officials.
The Blucerchiati will have to beat off competition from Chievo, Sassuolo and Cagliari who are all keen to capture the 27-year-old’s signature.
After a failed spell with Swansea, Paloschi moved to Atalanta this summer, but has made just four starting appearances for the Bergamo-based club.
