Yet on Saturday he was pictured with director of sport Carlo Osti and Milan CEO Galliani outside the Grand Hotel Imperiale in Forte dei Marmi.
Galliani arrived on a bicycle to his beachfront office for the perhaps decisive meeting.
Milan are expected to sign Soriano for €10m, plus the loan of Antonio Nocerino to Sampdoria.
